Illegibility Criteria for Admission in Hotel Management Course

For Admission in Hotel Management Course under University, following is the illegibility criteria for the candidate :

• Student has successfully completed 10+2 grade exams from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks.
• Students should have good communication skills.
• The age of candidate should no be more then 25 years at the time of admission.
• Student must have Hospitality aptitude.
• For NSDC approved short term course in Food Production, the student who has passed 10th grade exam from recognized board can apply. However the candidates appearing for the exams or waiting for the result can also apply. But the final admission will be granted once the candidate qualify the exam as per eligibility criteria.
• For Hobby courses there is no age limit The courses are well suited for the candidates interested to start their bakery or restaurant or want to take their hobby as a career. The candidates develop the culinary and bakery skills in short time courses.

How to Apply for Admission in Hotel Management

The application form for admission in hotel management courses are available at the Institute. The online form is also available on institute website and the candidate can apply online. The duly filled application form can also be submitted along with an application fees of Rs. 700/-. The candidates can also take a print out of hard copy of the form and can send duly filled form with the application fees. After that the candidate will receive the admit card for appearing in entrance exam organized by the Institute in online as well as offline mode. The admit card will have Date, time as well as venue for the entrance test.

Admission in Hotel Management through Entrance Exam

For Admission in Hotel Management Course under University, the candidate has to pass the entrance test conducted by IHA. In addition to the online/ written test candidate has to pass an Interview conducted at IHA. The written test is aptitude test based on class tenth level and comprises of following subject :

• General Knowledge,
• Logical & reasoning ability,
• Numerical ability,
• Scientific aptitude
• English Language
• Aptitude in service sector.

Once the candidate qualify the Exam and interview, candidate can take the provisional admission by submitting the registration fees. However the final admission will be based on verification of original documents for illegibility for the course. On the other hand for NSDC approved short term courses, the candidate has to appear only for personal interview. During the Interview we check the candidate is having the right attitude, aptitude and communication skill required for the Industry.

Allotment of Seats

The institute has limited number of seats for various courses, therefore allotment of seats is strictly on first come first basis. Therefore the candidates are advised to process the admission in deadline mentioned in the selection letter. The institute will not entertain any claim for admission after the last date mentioned in the selection letter.
