Diploma in Food Production and Bakery – Course Overview
This is a specialized course. The curriculum comprises of the subjects like Basics of Food Production, Bakery and patisserie as main subjects. The course also has Food Commodities, Food Science and Hygiene and English Communication. IHA also emphasizes on developing communication skills as modern day chefs also talk to the guests and need to communicate well. There is a proper blend of theory and practicals to develop culinary skills as well as the subject knowledge. The Institute has well equipped Commercial Kitchen. The students get hands on experience of cooking under the guidance of experienced chefs at IHA Kitchen. The students learn Indian as well as continental cuisine. Institute also have a commercial Bakery, where the students learn how to make Cakes, Cookies, Breads and other Bakery Items.
Along with the Diploma in Food Production and Bakery from IHA, the students also get government recognized certificate form Tourism and hospitality Skill council and National Skill Development Corporation.
